Its surface is quite fragile. With high-viscosity adhesive, the bonding strength is greater than the paper strength. Therefore, the label cannot be torn off once it is affixed on a product. That is, the label is disposable to prevent counterfeiters from using the original label on counterfeits. The word-film anti-counterfeiting adhesive label is a kind of PET film made with special technology. “VD” or other words are printed on the surface before adhesive is applied. The adhesive used has high viscosity, so that when the label on a product is torn off, “VD” or other words on the adhesive side will be left in the label position of the product. When this label is used for sealing, the product package can be checked for opening, thus achieving the purpose of security. The anti-counterfeiting principle of composite-fabric adhesive label is similar to that of the word-film anti-counterfeiting adhesive label. However, the composite fabric layer consists of two layers of polystyrene, which is formed by compounding a transparent polystyrene film on white polystyrene expanded material. When this kind of label is affixed on a product and then torn off, it will be split, and the expanded layer will be secured on the product surface, proving that the package has been opened.

Two-way and reverse printing of adhesive label

The two-way label is different from the double-sided label made by printing text and graphics on adhesive. It is made by repeated printing on a transparent film. The reverse label is a special two-way label. That is, after graphics and text are printed on a film, white ink or white paper is applied instead of printing the regular graphics and text on the second layer. It has some anti-counterfeiting effects due to the particularity of printing.

Back printing of label
Back printing is a new technology of adhesive label printing and also a special process. It refers to the application of ink or paint on the adhesive surface by means of printing. It can be changed into a double-sided label by printing a small number of text or graphics on the adhesive surface. When this label is affixed on a transparent bottle or glass containing transparent liquid, the text on its back can be seen through the transparent bottle or glass. In this way, both the front and back sides of the label can be used for promotional purposes, to reduces label materials and costs, and make products have special decoration effects. Because of its special structure, the double-sided label also has some anti-counterfeiting effects. Of course, microtext or secret marks can be applied on the back as a professional anti-counterfeiting measure.

Adhesive anti-counterfeiting
As we all know, sticking is indispensable in the manufacturing of corrugated cartons, processing of composite films, sealing of packaging boxes, production of adhesives and affixing of trademarks. Apparently, some anti-counterfeiting effects can be achieved by sticking. However, there are still no cases of directly using this technology. This article only explores adhesive labels.
　　Almost all packages have a label. Some adhesive labels will not cause damage to packages after they are torn off, while some will be damaged and also cause damage to packages. Packages are damaged obviously in the latter case. That is, old packages cannot be used, so the purpose of destructive anti-counterfeiting packaging can be achieved.

Destructive anti-counterfeiting of label
When consumers unpack products, labels will be destroyed. That is, old labels cannot be reused, so as to avoid anti-counterfeiting. For this purpose, the label location must be taken into account. in order to achieve this, we have to consider the location of the label.
　　1. Anti-counterfeiting seal label
　　The label is used as a seal for destructive anti-counterfeiting. For example, each packet of cigarette has a label. Users should (and also must) tear off the label to take out cigarettes, so the label cannot be used again. The label can be affixed between the bottle and cap. It will be damaged when the bottle is opened. Thus, it cannot be used again, as a destructive anti-counterfeiting solution.
　　2. Anti-counterfeiting tear label
　　It is an example of destructive anti-counterfeiting labels. Before a bottom is sealed, the label is affixed slightly higher. Then, the bottle is sealed with a cap. If the bottle is opened, the label will be damaged as a result of friction and tear. It cannot be used again, thus achieving the purpose of anti-counterfeiting.
Depending on the structure and features, special printing can be performed for anti-counterfeiting to some extent.
